Glock 30 Vs 30sf - The first time I picked up a Glock 30 pistol a few years ago, I noticed that I felt like I was holding a potato. Gloves filled my hands and held
Compared to other pistols I've held Not bad, sturdier than most I must have liked it because two months later I bought one
Glock 30 Vs 30sf
Full disclosure: Most of the pistols I review are new to me and my opinions are about first impressions. Not this one. of a pistol; A .45 sized shot in a compact frame that feels right to me. Besides being chambered in .45 ACP, the Glock 30S is probably my favorite pistol of all time.
Does The Glock 30sf Hit The Mark For Concealed Carry?
The first and last reason to consider any type of Glock pistol is simplicity and reliability. There is no pistol in the world as simple and reliable as the Glock. Besides, the G30S is intended for concealed carry - it is a shortened version of the Glock 21 Duty pistol. So you might consider carrying the G30S for its easy concealment (it's slightly smaller than the G19).
You can consider the G30S in its .45 setting, as most people prefer to have a few large rounds on their hips over smaller rounds. If you have large hands, you may consider the 30S for its strong grip radius. It's a double stack .45 so it has a meaty grip that complements the hand Despite the large chamber, two stacks of large rounds in the mag, and the meaty grip, the G30S is a relatively light pistol at just over 30 ounces, loaded.
The Glock 30S is a slightly reduced version of the G30. The primary features are a narrower slide width (1.12” compared to 1”) and lower slide assembly weight (a full 3.5 ounces lighter than the G30 slide assembly) and, with a frame of SF, slightly shorter trigger reaches 30S. Overall grip radius compared to the open G30
, but it has the saving grace of being very easy to move around with a Dremel sander for a perfect fit and comfort. I believe every Glock pistol needs to be hung along with the frame alignment, so that's how my 30S is set up. So for me, my Glock 30S fits like a glove

I expect that some will find the G30S grip better than other Glock models because of the extra girth. I do and I have a medium sized bum and the trigger is fine
The .45 ACP round has more recoil than the 9mm and any .45 shot from a compact, polymer frame will produce a little pop. That said, the G30S is not sharp or uncontrollable. A little wider than normal and the softness of the plastic makes the pistol very nice. With comfort in mind, the thumb can rotate the frame to allow better purchase of the thumb to help reset.
One thing I will mention is that while the 10-round magazine allows for almost everything in the pistol, the 9-round flash magazine leaves a short amount of time that may not be a good buy in the pink. . For those with larger hands, the pink may not be a good buy. The output isn't quite as low as, say, a G26, but being a .45 may mean some people will want the full grip offered by a 10-round magazine to help control recoil.
I'm used to carrying a Glock 19 all day and find that the G30S conceals better than the G19. This fact is mainly due to the small fish. The slide is the same width as the G19, but the frame is a little wider, but only that much and there is no difference to hide. Overall, this is an easy-to-conceal pistol; And only slightly heavier than the G19, the G30S is a little lighter on your belt if you carry it with a 9-round magazine.

Standard, long-sighted magazines are 10 rounds, allowing 11 in your gun. This capability is not bad at all, especially considering the compact package and height. No complaints here
Well, it's a Glock Glock 30S is designed like all other Glock pistols and has a Gen 3 design on the frame. Again the spring is of the double-spring type. Like most Glock pistols, the G30S comes with polymer sights and a U-notch rear sight. You will probably want to replace these stock sights with some type of metal saw
The 30S slide has a bull's-nose curve at the muzzle, but is similar to other designs. The slide lock lever and removal tabs are very low, providing easy and light trade-in external controls.
Despite its simplicity and reliability, customization is a Glock's best friend Almost every aftermarket manufacturer on the planet makes parts and accessories for Glock pistols, and if you're looking to replace or upgrade components, you'll have a variety of options to choose from.

Note, however, that the G30S does not have a reverse magazine release, unlike other Glock pistols. If you're left-handed, the G30S requires you to use a magazine release. That's not a huge limitation, but it's a departure from all other modern Glock models.
I carried a Glock 30S two years ago and it was my everyday pistol for about a year. I wore a pistol on my waist with a 9 round magazine in the gun and a 2 round mag in the OWB pouch on my left side. Because of the design of the G30S and its flash magazine, this rig hides well under a simple t-shirt. Even with a full-size magazine, the G30S has a smaller grip than the G19 (which is my everyday carry) so it's more concealable regardless of your carry position.
Fully loaded, the G30S weighs .36 ounces less than the G19, at 30.36 ounces. That's not very light, but for a double stack .45 pistol, it's pretty impressive. I know as long as you have a good bolt belt, it's easy to forget you're wearing it And that's not a glib platitude, but a fact based on long experience
The Glock 30S is an easily concealable, compact .45 with good power for its size and weight. It is as reliable as a pistol and easy to customize; Various components and holsters are available in the market
Glock 30sf Gen 3 45 Acp
Some with smaller hands may not be the right width Polymer material just begs to be replaced with metal Price may be a bit high for this pistol
The Glock 30S makes for the most comfortable pistol Glock has ever made, but it needs a few tweaks to make it a truly comfortable gun.
The Glock 30S probably isn't for everyone, but everyone should give it a try If you prefer the .45 ACP round and don't mind its recoil profile, I think the G30S offers the perfect combination of size, weight, capacity, reliability and concealability.
